The Vampire Diaries Spoilers: Season 4 Finale — Blood Loss and Ghosts

Bonnie in The Vampire Diaries Season 4, Episode 23: "Graduation"

It wouldn’t be a Mystic Falls event without a little bit of blood, right? Julie Plec wouldn’t tell Entertainment Weekly whether someone dies in The Vampire Diaries Season 4 finale, but she did tease, “There will definitely be an altercation resulting in some blood loss...”

Well, if someone were to bite it, Season 4, Episode 23, “Graduation” would be an ideal time. “Part of Silas’ plan to drop the veil — and Bonnie’s effort to either help him or stop him — they kind of blow up in everybody’s face” in the previous episode, Julie explains. Then the spirits start showing up. “It’s a nice collection of faces that will make us happy, and then some faces that we thought we probably shouldn’t see again because they’re up to no good,” she teases.

It sort of reminds us of the Season 3 episode “Ghost World,” but Julie says these ghosts won’t take corporeal form. “It’s just that if you kill them and the veil’s down, they can just walk right back through. So they’re kind of indestructible,” she says. That does not sound good, at least for those troublesome spirits.

But if, say, Alaric (Matt Davis) or Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) somehow remains unkillable, it’ll be just like old times! We miss those times.
