The Vampire Diaries Season 4 Finale: 5 Things We Want to See

Elena in in The Vampire Diaries Season 4, Episode 23: "Graduation"

The Season 4 finale of The Vampire Diaries is just around the corner, and we can’t wait to find out what happens. In fact, we have a laundry list of moments we want to see in Season 4, Episode 23, “Graduation.” Let us know if you agree!

A supernatural war
Kol (Nathaniel Buzolic) and dead witches, hybrids, and hunters are en route to Mystic Falls for vengeance and Silas-killing duty. With the veil still dropped, it’s impossible for them to die again. This is going to pose a problem for Elena (Nina Dobrev) and co. and we really want a bloody battle between the “living” vampires and the ghosts. Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen), get your crossbow; Alaric (Matt Davis), to your weapon cabinet!

Alaric to come back from the dead
Sigh. This was a hard choice to make. If we can only have one dead character come back from the grave, we suppose it has to be the history teacher. Maybe it’s because Jeremy’s, Kol’s, and Bonnie’s (Kat Graham) deaths are too fresh, or perhaps it’s all about his bromance with Damon (Ian Somerhalder). Either way, we want Alaric resurrected.

Romance
Be it between Matt (Zach Roerig) and Rebekah (Claire Holt), Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and Caroline (Candice Accola), Elena and the Salvatore of her choosing, it doesn’t matter. We just want some sweet and tender moments before everyone goes into ghost-busting mode.

Silas’s real face
Come on. We didn’t get rid of Silas that easily, did we? The Five wants to find his stony body, unfreeze him, jam the cure down his throat, and kill him. We’re not sure if they’ll succeed, but we hope he comes back long enough to show his true self. There must be something about him if Qetsiyah was willing to wait 2,000 years for the guy.

Everyone to graduate
Matt delivered a touching speech about wanting to graduate as a human. Caroline brought her mother back from the brink of death so she could see her daughter in a cap and gown. OK, Elena doesn’t really care either way, but still. These kids can’t reach a high school milestone without someone almost dying or getting possessed or something going wrong. It’d be nice if their time at Mystic Falls High School came to a close in a nice and normal way.
